CPAP Machines

There are 4 main types of sleep apnoea machines

    • CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) machines, also known as fixed pressure,  are set to the pressure recommended in your CPAP trial and reviewed yearly by our team to make sure it is still the 'right fit' for you.
    • APAP (automatic positive airway pressure) machine which adjusts the pressure automatically in response to your needs.
    • Bi-level machines which provide 2 separate pressures. This machine is used most commonly with patients who have underlying respiratory conditions or require higher pressures.
    • ASV (adaptive servo-ventilation) is a device for patients with central sleep apnoea.

* ResSleep are authorised distributors for ResMed, the only CPAP designed and manufactured in Australia.
